ABOUT THE ARTIST

June Diamond has been a practicing artist for over 30 years. After relocating from the East Coast, she received her B.F.A. from the California Institute of the Arts, with a full merit scholarship and an accelerated graduation. During her studies she worked in many media such as paint, pastels, resin, latex, leather, wire and various fibers, earning critical acclaim from the faculty at CalArts.

June subsequently opened a glass studio in Southern California where she developed expertise in the medium. Over the years she has created and exhibited an extensive body of work, and hundreds of her pieces are held in private collections worldwide. She has taught hot glass techniques privately in her studio and off-site for the last eight years.

In recent years June has expanded her use of materials to also include metals such as copper, brass, and steel. Her current work often involves the use of recycled materials such as glass and metals, manipulated through processes including welding, cutting, heating and painting. She also creates functional art pieces such as lighting fixtures & windows.

June currently resides and maintains her studio in Southern California.
