June Diamond has been an artist for over thirty five years. After relocating from the East Coast, she received her B.F.A. from the California Institute of the Arts.
After graduating from CalArts she opened a glass studio in Southern California and started working primarily with glass and metals such as steel, copper, aluminum, and brass. Her work often involves the manipulation of materials through welding, cutting, drilling, heating, and painting. It is not unusual for recycled materials to be incorporated into the pieces. Over the years she has created and exhibited an extensive body of work including large-scale installation pieces, sculpture, and functional art. June’s work is held in private collections worldwide.
June has privately taught stained glass and hot glass techniques for thirty years. She currently resides and maintains her studio in Southern California.
